Released by Glitchy.Tonic.Records, Techno Ist Das Halbe Leben is the debut from Schpunk, a new side project from Phasenverschiebungen heavily influenced by Zenon Record’s Smalltalk series. From this aesthetic a new passion for techno arose, inspiring his desire to create something minimalistic and emotional, and with a touch of the specific musicality known from his Phasenverschiebungen project. As to the name, according to Pippi Longstocking, “Schpunk” can be anything and everything. “I don’t know what it is, but it’s definitely a nice word.”
